Catacomb of Bincentia

Photo from the catacomb of Saint Sebastiano, the Patron Saint of athletes. This is among the most historic of all catacombs and is located at the Church of Quo Vadis in Rome circa 200 to 400AD. The catacombs contain very interesting art work and much by way of ancient symbolism both Pagan and very early Christian. The dove carrying an olive branch complements the wish for peace in the inscription, 'in pace.' Above the dove this inscription also has the Chi-Rho (greek monogram of the name of Christ) that this is a Christian grave and a symbol representing a woven basket which indicates either many good works, possibly wealth and generosity or simply, the Eucharist.

The front and back of this gorgeous silver heart are both covered with a detailed pattern of ornate Victorian scrolls and tiny forget-me-nots. There is a jump ring attached for a chain of your selection. These measure 1 1/8" tall x 1" wide and are of nice weight. They are marked 925 for 925/1000 sterling. The gold is 24 k plated sterling silver. One of our more popular necklace urns as it is an elegant and very wearable memory keepsake. This is our own design - please beware of imitations that are larger and much lighter weight. The threaded is used primarily for ashes whereas the locket is suitable for fur or hair with ash or other small keepsake.
